The availability area allows members to set in advance when they’re free to respond to call-outs or not. This information is particularly useful for times when a team needs to be formed quickly, where there may not be enough members with certain qualifications responding.

Set your Availability in the BART Team App

There are three methods that can be used through the BART Team app to set your availability:

Quick Options

To update your availability via the ‘Quick Options’ menu:

1. Tap on the kebab icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

2. A dialogue box will popup, giving you a range of options

3. Tap on the ‘Status: Unknown’ button

4. Choose a status that you would like to set

5. Select a number and duration type (hours, days or custom)

6. Tap ‘GO

Weekly Table View

The weekly view displays a table of days and time slots, which are split up into hourly blocks.

By default the status cycle option will be selected, which will set a specific status depending on the number of times you have tapped a cell.

  • Tapping a block once will make it green, which indicates that you are available
  • Tapping a block twice will turn it red, indicating that you’re not available during this time-slot
  • Tapping a block a third time will turn it purple, which indicates that you are on premises
  • Tapping a block a fourth time will turn it orange, which indicates that you are available for Emergencies only. Section 44’s, State of Emergencies
  • Tapping a block a fifth time will turn it yellow, which indicates that you are a delayed response greater than 20 minutes

Status Picker

The status picker is a round button in the top left-hand corner of the time table. When tapped, you can select from a range of statuses:

  1. Tap on the 'Availability' item in the main bottom menu

  2. Weekly 'Table View' will display by default

  3. Tap on the ‘Status Picker’ circle


  4. Select your status

  5. Tap on your choice of table cells for any time and day, and your status will be set

  6. To clear a cell, tap on the status picker circle again and select ‘Clear’ from the list


Please Note: You can also use the status picker to select the classic ‘Default - Cycle’ option.


Weekly Options

There are also additional options within the Weekly View table by tapping on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner of the screen:

  1. Copy (will copy the availability for the entire week, which can then be pasted for future weeks)

  2. Paste (is only available if you have copied the status template first)

  3. Clear (will clear the entire week)

  4. Fill (Fill the entire week with a specific status - select from: Available, Unavailable, At-Premises, Delayed, Emergency Only)

Set Times

To use this method, you will need to tap on the ‘Set’ tab at the top of the Availability screen.



  1. Tap on the status you wish to set:
    • Available
    • Not-Available
    • At Premises
    • Delayed
    • Emergency Only

  2. Set the start time that you want to set your status for

  3. Set the end time that you want to set your status for

  4. Select a date – you can hold and drag the date list to view more dates

  5. Tap on the green ‘GO’ button

View Members

To view the availability of your team mates, tap on the ‘Members’ tab at the top of the screen. A list of members within your group will appear, along with coloured blocks indicating what their status is for each hour within a day. You can flick through days by using the white arrows on either side of the date.

Filter Members

Within the ‘Members’ tab up the top, there is an option to filter members by specific qualifications. This can be handy if you’re looking for someone with a particular skill set.



Set your Availability in the Members Web App

  1. Press the red ‘NEW’ button in the top banner
     


  2. A dropdown will appear with 3 options:
    • New Broadcast
    • New Discussion
    • Set Availability

  3. Press on the ‘Set Availability’ option

  4. A modal dialogue box will appear
     


  5. Select the member whose availability you would like to set (if you’re not an administrator, you’ll only be able to set your own availability)

  6. Set availability type:
    • Available
    • Not available
    • On Premises

  7. Choose the ‘from’ date

  8. Choose the ‘from’ time

  9. Choose the ‘to’ date

  10. Choose the ‘to’ time

  11. Press on the green ‘SAVE’ button
